/Mobile Computing and PDA PR News/ - NEW DELHI, INDIA, October 03, 2007 - Classified advertisers couldn't have asked for more. Selling your used car or filling a job vacancy will now be as easy as sending an SMS! In an innovative move, www.clickindia.com - India's neighborhood classifieds portal has launched India's first M2I (Mobile to Internet) classified advertising service. Advertisers can now simply use their mobile phones to shoot pictures of the subject, key in ad content and send via SMS to 99586 49430 or email to post@clickindia.com. In no time, the website will start displaying the ad online under relevant category and location. Users can even send plain text ads via SMS carrying their offer / profile and contact details.

"This is wonderful! Now, to post a car ad for my clients, I don't need to switch on my computer, connect to internet, logon to the website and fill up forms. I will use my camera phone to the fullest!" commented Gurjeet, a delighted second-hand cars dealer in Karol Bagh, New Delhi who swears by online classifieds to drive his sales.

The website offers local classified ads from all over India in a host of categories including Vehicles, Electronics, Services, Jobs, Matrimony, Pets, Education, Travel, etc. There are no charges or commission on posting of ads and users can post any number of ads on the website, which will remain live for a 60 day period from the date of posting. SMS sent to 99586 49430 are charged at normal rates.

"We all know mobile & SMS usage is at all time high in India, and increasing fast. Internet, however, is a mass medium and still more convenient for classifieds ad search. We wanted our advertisers to enjoy both the benefits of internet as well as mobile, and that's how we developed this model," says Amit Gundh, one of the co-founders of the website. "Very soon, advertisers will be able to even receive responses to their online ads on their mobiles via SMS," adds Gundh.

On successful posting of ad users receive a confirmation SMS from Clickindia giving a unique Ad ID. "Further, advertisers can even instruct to repost, edit or delete their ads simply by sending respective instructions via SMS specifying their unique ad ID," says Sushan Rungta, Co-founder, Clickindia.com. Online visitors to Clickindia.com can search through and respond to ads using contact details given in the ad or by using the response box given online.
